Wat Phreah Ngok
Wat Preah Ngok, spelt Vat Preah Ngok in French, is a Buddhist chapel just to the north-west of the famous Bayon temple in Angkor Thom. It is a modern pavilion sheltering a 5 m tall seated Buddha statue, which is supposed to be from the Angkorian era. The Buddha of Wat Preah Ngok is looked after by the villagers of Angkor Krau village and monks from Angkor Krau, Trapeang Seh and Kok Beng.
Morning hours are better than afternoon hours for a visit. The Angkor ticket should be in your pocket or in front of your chest everywhere in Angkor Thom. |
